I’ve used the Glossworks Moorabbin team several times now and they are outstanding auto painters. The quality of their workmanship is exceptional, and it’s clear they take real pride in what they do. Every time I collect my car, it looks brand new. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto paint work.

I had my badly oxidised wheels repainted just before Christmas and the guys happily fitted me and did the job within a day. The paintwork on the wheels is pristine and the car has been transformed. I will be returning for all future panel and wheel work.

Getting to know Oakleigh South’s roads

Oakleigh South is a largely residential suburb split between two councils, the City of Kingston and the City of Monash. Its borders are North Road to the north, the Dingley Bypass to the south, Warrigal Road to the west, and Huntingdale Road and Clarinda Road to the east.

Those border roads are where a lot of local crashes happen:

  • Warrigal Road is a busy main road with heavy traffic and plenty of turning at the lights. Rear-end bumps are common.
  • North Road carries traffic past Huntingdale station, with buses and commuters coming and going.
  • The Dingley Bypass and South Road link. When Old Dandenong Road was joined to South Road, it made a through route east to west, and it carries plenty of traffic.
  • Centre Road runs through the middle of the suburb, past local schools and the ice skating rink, Melbourne’s oldest, which opened in 1971.

School traffic around Oakleigh South Primary School, Huntingdale Primary School and South Oakleigh Secondary College also brings busy mornings and afternoons, with tight parking and low-speed scrapes.

Inside our Moorabbin shop

  • LED quoting bay. We drive your car under a large ceiling of hexagon LED lights. The bright, even light shows up dents and scratches that are easy to miss outdoors, and we photograph the damage for your quote and your insurer.
  • Customer lounge. Wait in comfort while we look over your car and talk you through the quote.
  • Vehicle lifts. We lift your car to check underneath for hidden damage, like bent brackets and broken under-trays.
  • Spray booth. Paint is done in a clean, closed spray booth, so the finish matches and lasts.
  • Presentation bay. You collect your car in our bright white presentation bay, with its flower wall, and check the finish with us.

We’re open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking is recommended.
