Mulgrave and the Monash Freeway
Mulgrave, in the City of Monash, gave its name to the old Mulgrave Freeway, which is now the Monash Freeway. Most Melburnians know the suburb from the Jacksons Road interchange, a traffic timing point you’ll often hear in radio traffic reports.
That freeway traffic is behind a lot of the repairs we see from Mulgrave:
- Rear-end crashes in stop-start freeway traffic, especially around the interchanges.
- Side swipes during lane changes and merges.
- Stone chips and scratches on bonnets and bumpers from freeway driving.
Away from the freeway, Wellington Road, Springvale Road and Ferntree Gully Road are busy main roads with plenty of turning traffic. Car park bumps around Waverley Gardens and the farmers’ market on the corner of Jacksons and Wellington Roads are common too.
Mulgrave is also unusual because it’s split into two separate parts, after some of it was renamed Wheelers Hill. That’s one reason we list two shops here.
Driving to Carnegie
- Get onto Wellington Road and head west.
- Follow it to Dandenong Road (the Princes Highway).
- Keep going to 1064 Dandenong Rd, Carnegie. Look for the illuminated GLOSSWORKS sign and pull into our driveway.
At Carnegie, you’ll be quoted in our driveway quoting bay under a square halo of LED light, and you collect your car from our presentation bay with its black spiked feature wall.
Driving to Moorabbin
- Head west along Police Road, then Centre Road.
- Join the Dingley Bypass, which runs into South Road.
- Our shop is at 44 Alex Ave, just off South Road.
At Moorabbin, you’ll be quoted under a ceiling of hexagon LED lights, we can lift your car to check underneath for hidden damage, and you collect it from our white presentation bay with its flower wall.
Both shops have on-site parking. We can also pick up your car on request within Melbourne, which saves a freeway drive in a damaged car.
