Volvo is known for safety, and a good repair keeps it that way. We repair the XC40, XC60, XC90, EX30, the S and V ranges and Recharge plug-in and electric models at our Moorabbin and Carnegie shops, following Volvo’s published repair procedures.
If you weren’t at fault, or your policy lets you choose your repairer, you can ask for your Volvo to come to us.

What matters in a Volvo repair
- Boron steel safety cage. Volvo uses ultra-high-strength boron steel around the cabin. It can’t be straightened or heated, so damaged sections are replaced exactly as Volvo specifies.
- City Safety and Pilot Assist. These systems rely on a camera behind the windscreen and radar at the front. After a windscreen, bumper or structural repair they are checked and calibrated where Volvo requires it.
- Recharge and electric models. High-voltage systems are made safe before any work starts, following Volvo’s procedures.
- Genuine parts. We quote genuine Volvo parts where the repair procedures call for them and list every part on your written quote.
Not at fault, or choice of repairer?
If another driver caused the accident and you’re claiming from their insurer, you can generally choose your repairer. On your own policy, it depends on what the policy says.
A hire car and third-party recovery are arranged through our third-party partner, subject to their eligibility and terms.
How it works
- Call 1300 145 677 or upload photos of the damage. Tell us whether you were at fault and who your insurer is, or the other driver’s insurer.
- We inspect the car and give you a written quote that lists every part and any sensor calibration.
- We deal with the insurer for you and keep you updated while your car is with us.
- We repair the car, check every system, road test it where needed and give it a final quality check.
- You collect your car, along with our Lifetime Guarantee on paint and workmanship for as long as you own your car.

Are you a Volvo approved repairer?
No. We’re approved by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche. We repair Volvos to Volvo’s published repair procedures.
Will City Safety work properly after the repair?
The camera and radar are checked after the repair and calibrated where Volvo requires it, and the result is recorded on your job paperwork.
